Epic Namibia
Namibia between 7 Jun 2016 and 16 Jun 2016
"I had done extensive research on Namibia but needed some expert advice to bring it all together. Sabina did just that - perfectly!
Namibia has been on our "to do" list for a couple of years. We've travelled in Africa quite extensively - this trip to Namibia has DEFINITELY been the best! It is magical, majestic, dramatic and unspoilt - there aren't enough adjectives to describe it and photo's can't capture it - it is truly "Epic"..."

Little Kulala
"Memorable Little Kulala"
2 nights

"Little Kulala Camp is breathtaking!! The thatched rooms are beautiful decorated and designed to ensure that that you are engulfed by every bit of the surrounding and ever evolving beauty. If the weather permits, a night on the rooftop is a must!
The team that looked after us are a group of beautiful people who quite clearly love their jobs and their guests - attention to detail is evident everywhere! Our welcome was special and uplifting. We loved spending time with our guide Alfred, he is a knowledgeable and serious man with a lovely wit :-)
The food was delicious - the crowning glory - the evening Boma!
This camp is a must on any trip to Namibia!"

Damaraland Camp
"Rugged Damaraland"
2 nights
Arrived
10 Jun 2016
"The Damaraland Camp is really in the middle of nowhere which is just perfect! It's a little jewel in amongst the harsh ruggedness that is the Huab River Valley. Star gazing is phenomenal here given the clear night skies.
The staff were great - a fantastic team who had fun togethe and with their guests (especially Desert Rose and Ghandi). James the manager on duty is a lovely man who is passionate about his job and has a great rapport with his staff and his guests.
The food was good - communal dining for all meals (unless you'd prefer otherwise) is a fun way to meet and interact with other guests. The early morning surprise breakfast - fantastic, in a stunning location!
We were lucky enough to see the Desert Elephants which was the reason we chose to stay at this camp.
The rooms were lovely but would have been perfect had they have had double beds and not twin beds - I would assume that most guests are couples..."

Serra Cafema
"Remote Epic Serra Cafema"
2 nights
Arrived
12 Jun 2016
"The drive from the airstrip through the Hartmann Valley to Serra Cafema is "epically" and spectacularly African! Arrival at the camp is equally as impressive - set alongside the Kunene River in amongst the reeds. This is truly a place to just be - at one with Namibia and with nature. This lodge beckons me back!
Our guide Darius was just brilliant, he was very attentive to our needs and continually amazed us with driving us to vistas better than the previous which we didn't think possible! Taking in the breathtaking landscape whilst having our sundowners on our first night there was the highlight of our Namibian trip! Our boat trip up the along the Kunene river spotting Crocs and having sundowners on the Angolan side of the river was special too.
The staff were very pleasant and accommodating - we were given an upgrade (huge thanks!) and a special, surprise, private lunch right on the river. The tents are very spacious and gorgeous.
The lodge will be undergoing a revamp later this year - can't wait to go back :-)"

Ongava Tented Camp
"Ongava Tented Camp Reserve"
2 nights
Arrived
14 Jun 2016
"This camp is nice and small with really well appointed tents situated on a private reserve. It's reception area is near a small man made watering hole which was frequented by many different species of antelopes.
Lions appeared to have settled very close to camp whilst we were there. We managed to get pretty close to them which was memorable even though they appeared to be very comfortable around humans... Our guide Leon slotted an extra game drive in for us so we could see Rhino's which we did. It's very dusty and bumpy around there, but that's what Safari's and Africa is all about! An added bonus was that on our last night in the camp we had two male lions in our camp roaring at each other - very surreal...
We spent a day in Etosha but didn't see big herds of animals as I had imagined and the animals we saw were quite far away."
