Seeing a leopard mother and her cub playing a small distance away and seeing a cheetah close up in the wild are hard experiences to match. Thus, we had a fabulous experience overall.
If the ceiling fans can be added at Little Kwara and the flights can be adjusted to take vacationers directly to their spots (instead of flying them more than 90 minutes out of the way), the review could have been even more positive."

Ilala Lodge
"Lovely spot to take in the Falls"

Little Kwara (Not currently featured by Expert Africa)
"Little Kwara charms"
The only negative is that the cabins do NOT have ceiling fans and so during the afternoon hours when you want to rest and during the steamy nights, the cabins were quite humid and uncomfortable. For a camp of this caliber and expense, the cabins should all have ceiling fans (I am not talking air conditioners but only ceiling fans). It would go a long way to making the stay much more enjoyable."

Tau Pan Camp
"Tau Pan and new vistas"
The game drives, however, require you to drive for hours to see much in the way of animals. There is the occasional jackal and various antelope, but that is not much for hours of driving. And we were there at the end of their summer when the animals in the Pans should be more easily observed (or so we had read).
When we took the long drive to Deception Valley (only available in 8 hour full day drives) we did see the Kalahari lions which were amazing and some bat eared foxes (besides the various antelopes), but those long drives can challenge the spirit of a game seeker."
