Great Safari Trip Aug 16 with Expert Africa
Tanzania and 1 other country between 30 Jul 2016 and 13 Aug 2016
"We had a fantastic experience with Expert Africa and our trip. In terms of logistics, everything worked out perfectly well, before as well as during the trip. All the recommendations and suggestions we received turned out to be to the point.
We loved the two lodges were we stayed as well as the two national parks Selous and Ruaha - very complementary and different, both very special and not too touristy at all, despite high season. Closing a week of safari with a few days in Zanzibar turned also out to be the right decision. Thanks also a lot for the complimentary travel guide on Zanzibar - excellent reading, I would recommend it to every traveler. All in all a great holiday!
We would recommend Expert Africa to any friends planning the same thing."

Kwihala Camp
"The real experience at Kwihala Camp"
3 nights
Arrived
31 Jul 2016
"Kwihala Camp was our first experience of a safari ever and it was absolutely amazing. The camp is very small and intimate, the staff and manager incredibly friendly, welcoming and always willing to share their experience. Our guide Tony was really special - passionate for his job, rather a vocation, extremely knowledgeable, always willing to go the extra mile to show us something very special.
During camp time, we had great conversations with the team, both children and adults. It felt more like a big family and at home, than just visiting. Finally, the owners of the camp are very committed towards making a positive impact on the environment and the people who live in it - a fundamentally important aspect of this kind of tourism in my view. We would always go again and highly recommend Kwihala Camp and their team."

Impala Camp
"Luxury in the middle of Selous"
3 nights
Arrived
3 Aug 2016
"Selous Impala Camp lies right on the river, with beautiful tents located on platforms allowing a view on the river. Marvelous facilities, great food, and a very professional team.
Despite the camp being somewhat larger than our first camp in Ruaha, the team managed to still give it the feeling of intimacy and personal experience. The guides were very professional and put special efforts into showing us the best of the park.
All in all, also with the possibility of boating safaris, a great complement to Ruaha."

Shooting Star Lodge
"Relaxation on top of the reef."
6 nights
Arrived
6 Aug 2016
"Shooting Star Lodge is a great contrast to some of the larger resorts that are now populating the beaches around it. Although way smaller and not offering any activities on its own, the hotel allows a real break and remoteness which makes it a very peaceful place to relax.
The management was always helpful with recommending additional activities and facilitating, e.g. a visit to stone town, to a spice farm, kite surfing, etc so we never felt limited.
Being located not directly on the beach but above it on the cliff allows a remoteness and distance from the typical beach buzz which we thought was great.
Dinner was absolutely excellent and breakfast was very nice as well, without any exception - lunch menu could be somewhat improved."

The garden and terrace were marvelous and allowed a wonderful break during visiting, recovering from the flights and preparing for safari.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful in helping us organize some local activities."
