August 2016 trip

IF there was one small criticism it would be that we didnt know we needed a visa to enter into Livingstone. So after an all night flight and a connection, we had a long 3 hour wait in a crowded and hot area waiting for a visa. There was much confusion as we did not know what we were meant to be queuing for and if they would accept a credit card. It was a worry at the time so it would have been nice to have been warned or to have applied for the visa in the UK but it really didn't spoil our trip in any shape or form.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
Expert Africa were recommended to us from friends. I also called other firms but yours was the best for efficiency and expert knowledge about each area an each camp. Megan was brilliant at the beginning and she really tailored the trip to our needs with 4 teenagers with suggestions and ideas.
The trip was fantastically organised and the itinerary was followed to the letter. The only two things that were slightly different were that Selina has showers and not bucket showers anymore and the need to have a visa to get into Livingstone.
Other than that Thank You Very Much and I have recommended you to several people already :)"

"Lovely accommadatin"
We especially enjoyed the waterboat trip along the delta.
The food at the camp was great, all freshly cooked lots of it and there is nothing quite like having snacks and a G&T watching the sun go down. Wonderful memories.
Each night the camp was alive with the sound of elephant, hippo and even lions wandering around. We had total faith in all the staff and felt safe at all times."

Shinde Footsteps
"Or all round favourite"
Everyday at siesta time in the camp, there was no siesta! We did tin can shooting which the teenagers loved and one afternoon had a 5 a side football game. Playing football in the heat (and dust) in Botswana, then stopping at half time to wait for a massive elephant to stride through the camp has got to be one of the best memories ever. We were treated to hot bucket showers in the open air before afternoon tea (fit for a king) and on for another game drive.
We especially loved this camp as the guides were such good fun. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very willing to go beyond the call of duty to show us everything to keep the interest. The exclusivity of the camp (just our family) made I feel like the staff were the friends we were on holiday with rather than the actual staff.
The food was fantastic here too. The chef cooks on open fire...how does he produce such wonderful food without an oven?!!"

Selinda Explorers Camp
"Excellent wildlife"
The drives just got better and better, we did have to get up early though, 5.30am call, but we were given coffee and cookies and once in the vehicle warm ponchos were provided. We had breakfast out on the plains each day and one day they brought lunch to the spillway which was a lovely surprise.
Our guide was a keen canoe fan and so we went out twice on the waterway, it was a lot of fun with two to a canoe and so peaceful and great to see another side to Africa. Another great day followed by sundowners and incredible skies.
The camp had a lovely feel to it, opulence and African spice. The staff were perfect hosts and once again it was more like sitting with friends in the evening than anything.
The tents were 5 star luxury and once again you could hear lions and wild animals literally outside the tents at night. Sounds scary but it all added to the atmosphere.
This was more than excellent"
There was other wildlife roaming about the hotel grounds but we felt completely safe at all times with plenty of staff patrolling the area.
The hotel was 5 minutes walk away from the Victoria falls and we spent one evening there and returned for an hour the next morning which was fantastic.
The food was lovely and the all you can breakfast was wonderful
All the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, we had questions about The African Queen trip and they were attentive and knowledgeable.
No complaints"
