Our Perfect Honeymoon
Tanzania between 1 Jul 2015 and 16 Jul 2015
Our whole trip was fantastic. It had a rocky start as our flight leaving the UK was actually cancelled, however we were able to ring Expert Africa in the middle of the night explain the problem and by the time we arrived in Tanzania a new schedule had been re-arrranged for us by James that minimised any loss of activities. Having this piece of mind was invaluable.
Thanks should also go to Liz (who often assisted us if James was out of the office) and to Megan as originally we were looking into going to Botswana."

Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge
"A Lovely Stay at Rhotia Valley Lodge"

Kati Kati Camp
"Enjoyable Experience at Kati Kati"
The staff were very friendly and the food was very good and served in generous portions. Packed lunches were provided for day safaris, which were also generous although a bit repetitive perhaps.
Each night a fire was prepared so guests could gather and have drinks around as the sun went down."

Jongomero Camp
"Our Favourite!"
The friendliness of all the staff here is very welcoming, the tents are huge, well equipped and with great views and the food is excellent both in quality and variety. Special thanks go to the camp manager's Sam and Chris, particularly for those small touches personalised to us for our honeymoon and also to our guide Theo who was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour.
Visiting at the beginning of July the camp wasn't quite full and we had the benefit of private safari drives every time which was a nice touch as the managers could have easily chosen to pair up couples into one vehicle."

Siwandu
"3 Night Stay at Siwandu"
The camp facilities were very good, our tent was huge and very well equipped and the staff were friendly. Our guide Enoch was very knowledgable and offered interesting additional facts about the wildlife around us.
Emile was standing in for the camp managers when we visited and nothing was too much trouble, we particularly liked how he joined everyone around the campfire before dinner and told great stories."

Ras Kutani, Tanzania (this camp has since closed)
"A Perfect End to Our Honeymoon"
We stayed in a hillside suite which was wonderfully secluded, very spacious and nicely detailed. The food was lovely with a diverse cocktail menu for the evenings.
We do not normally enjoy 'beach holidays' however 4 nights here at the end of a 12 day safari was just what we needed to recoup before coming home."

By staying at the lodge you are helping a very worthwhile cause. We would recommend visiting the children's home opposite, it was great to be told the history of how the lodge and home developed and to see the ingenious solutions they have put in place to be more self-sufficient.
It does get cold at night due to the altitude however each night we were kept warm with roaring fire pits and hot water bottles so this was not a problem."
