First trip to Zambia- but not the last
Zambia between 3 Sep 2008 and 17 Sep 2008
"The whole trip was a once in a lifetime experience.
Even the travel days were fun and the Zambian people were friendly and professional. Because there are so few camps the experience felt very select and it was rare to encounter any other vehicle when out and about.
The scenery was fantastic and very varied - I was not expecting to see such lovely stands of leadwood and ebony trees. Altogether the best safari experience we have had.
Suggestions for improvement:
I cannot really think of anything. I always dither a lot before finally selecting an itinerary and Claire was very patient as I kept coming back with questions or changes of date!"

"A really "back to the bush" experience - the rooms were comfortable and the quality of the service was first rate.
I would particularly rate the "bush lunch" we enjoyed - with a whole herd of elephants. The guide and scout were top class and we felt completely safe with them - even when walking up to lions.
The camp hostess could not have done more to make us all feel at home - our stay was too short we could have done with a week!"

"This was a really good stay - a great place to add on to a visit to Luangwa as it provided water based activities.
The tents were luxurious and it was good to have a swimming pool. The open lounge and dining area on the river was a lovely place to sit (or lie) and laze after lunch- particularly when the elephants stroll by.
I really cannot fault any aspect - only suggestion would be possibly to add mosquito nets around the beds - they seem to be able to sneak into the rooms despite the netting on the windows and doors."

"A beautiful place to stop over and relax after a safari- the food deserves a particular mention being imaginative and high quality. The staff were attentive and friendly , and the sundowners on the river were memorable.
I think 3/4 nights for a stay here is about right as the distance from the falls means repeated trips take a bit of time."

The hides were great for photographers and the site right on the river meant there was always something to watch."
