My Aug 2015 trip
Botswana and 1 other country between 8 Aug 2015 and 16 Aug 2015
"First, the team member who dealt most with my trip was Chloe Henderson. To be honest, she is the one who made me chose Expert Africa because I was about to go with either &Beyond or Ker & Downey. So, even if I know she left the company, special thanks to her, she was amazing and gave me incredible and valuable advice!
Having said that, our trip was excellent. Botswana/Vic Falls represented 1/3 of our trip (the two others being South Africa and Mozambique) and this was the highlight of our trip.
We will keep an unforgettable souvenir of this week, thank you!!"

Selinda Explorers Camp
"Unique experience at Selinda Explorers Camp!"
2 nights

"Camp was amazing, in the middle of nowhere, with wildlife all around it (we had the visit of hyenas during the night inside the camp, unforgettable!).
I strongly recommend this camp, staff was extremely pleasant and careful (they prepared a surprise for our honeymoon the last night on the camp), food and wine excellent, and the camp in itself is a real experience!
Last, ask for Keeny as a guide. He knows almost everything on nature and wildlife. He even managed to attract a herd of wildogs towards some impalas and trigger a hunting just by imitating their calls!"

Muchenje Safari Lodge
"National Park experience at Muchenje Lodge"
2 nights
Arrived
12 Aug 2015
"Nice camp but unfortunately not what we were expected after Kwara and Selinda Explorers.
As this is a lodge, rooms are real chalets and the camp is not in the middle of nature with animals going in and out the camp. More, the camp is quite big (around 10-12 chalets), which is not a must for intimacy.
Service was fine and staff was friendly. Special thanks to both Paul and Banyana who took care of us - Paul was not our guide but he proposed to organize a walking safari for us as he saw we were a little bit disappointed but the king of safaris available here (no off-road in the National Park, impossible to track predators, you have to stay on the road).
Overall, this is a good camp (rooms are big and clean, view is amazing, there is a swimming pool, wifi, etc.) but it's better to begin by a camp like this one rather than finish by it, especially when you went to private concessions before.
Game viewing is average, except for the cruise during which you can see elephants, hippos, buffalos and crocodiles very closely"

Victoria Falls Hotel
"Great stay at Victoria Falls Hotel"
2 nights
Arrived
14 Aug 2015
"Very nice hotel. Room was lovely with a great view on the garden and the bridge.
Restaurants were good (both Jungle Junction and Linvingstone Room) and not too expensive.
Breakfast was very good as well, with a large choice of food.
Stay in Victoria Falls was interesting - we did the walk around the Falls, which is great. However, the sunset cruise on the Zambezi river is too expensive and without interest"
