Our 4 days Okavango Safari
Botswana between 15 Apr 2015 and 21 Apr 2015
"This was our first Botswana safari experience.
It all went very smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed both the camp experience and the game viewing. We really can't find anything to fault other than we wished we had been able to stay longer.
We would love to come back again."

Little Vumbura
"Little Vumbura experience"

"We transferred from a dry camp Chitabe to Little Vumbura to have a wet camp experience and it certainly provided a great contrast with all the entries and exits via water. The staff, many of whom came from local villages to learn hospitality, were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was good and almost too plentiful.
Highlights were the game viewing which included plenty of animals however the wide range of birdlife is definitely a selling point. The moroko canoe trip through the reed lanes made by the hippos to an island for sundown was memorable as were the dawns and sunrises. A hippo right outside our room one night was a thrill."

As expected the game drives were the highlight. The morning drive went for about 5 hours and the evening about 3 hours which was fantastic. We saw a wide range of animals, the highlight being the wild dogs hunting which we saw twice. Plenty of leopards and some lions but no cheetah or hyena. Our guide Gordon was excellent and knowledgeable. The small number of game vehicles in the concession and the ability to go off road to follow animals made the experience much more personal.
I would also like to mention Thompson the Chitabe Camp Manager whose genuine friendliness and detailed knowledge of Botswana and the Delta increased our enjoyment. We felt two days was about the right length of time before moving to another camp."
