Great trip
Botswana and 1 other country between 9 Jun 2013 and 22 Jun 2013
Megan was great, and the transfers were seamless. Especially the transfer to Zambezi Sun, from Camp Kalahari. Flight to Kasane, drive to water's edge, boat across river, then drive through border and on to Zambezi Sun. Really smooth and easy. I think it was done by wilderness, who also took us over to Zimbabwe for tea at the Victoria Falls hotel, they were excellent.
This really was the wonderful trip we dreamed about.
Expert Africa have been fantastic all three times I have used them."

"Disappointing stay....tired accommodation."
We were coming from a really wonderful camp, so we were a bit disappointed. We chose this camp to have game viewing available for the night we weren't in the Delta or elsewhere because of flight scheduling. In the end there wasn't time for any game viewing anyway. The rooms were pretty but one sink backed up into the other one when my friend washed her hair. The food was ok, but not exciting.
I think next time I will stay closer to the airport, and not worry about it being not a 'camp'."

Baines' Camp
"A Lovely Camp and great Elephant Experience"
Their gift shop items were on display in the 'hall' which was great, and very tempting.
The only thing I found scary was driving through so much water, we always made it through unscathed, but I was a nervous passenger. When asked, they also provided tea for the non-drinkers at sundowners. We really enjoyed Baines Camp.
We really came for the elephant experience, and that was absolutely incredible. To be that close to three lovely elephants, to see how rough their skin was, how long their eyelashes, and to walk hand in trunk down the road with an elephant was an experience never to be forgotten. Doug and Sandy were great, kind, knowledgeable, great teachers and dedicated to their elephants."

Camp Kalahari
"The meerkats are always wonderful"
I love the Makgadikgadi and would go back every year if I could afford it. The Uncharted Africa people always capture some kind of magic with their camps. I wish I could afford to go on one of their mobile camps!"

Avani Victoria Falls
"The hotel was fine, wifi was very expensive!!"
The food was average, however the food at the Royal Livingstone next door was fantastic. The Royal Livingstone seemed to be a really wonderful hotel, but much more expensive than the Zambezi Sun.
Our only complaint was the internet price, and misleading advertising."
Neither of us drink, so they very kindly provided tea for Sundowners just for us, which was great.
In four days we saw lions, leopards, hyena, wild dogs, white rhinos, elephants, African wild cat lots of impala (and other deer like creatures I can't keep track of) Cape Buffalo, warthogs, giraffes, zebras. wildebeest, baboons, vervet monkeys (they loved the lunch buffet and the morning rusks!) tree squirrels, lots of birds and I've probably forgotten some things.
We had an amazing time, at one stage we watched hyena steal a wild dog kill, and then the baby hyenas came to eat. Scotch was our guide and Patrick the spotter. (they also worked closely with Ranger, another guide who was lovely as well)
We could not have asked for better game viewing. The only thing missing were cheetahs, black rhino and the white lions that are only sometimes nearby.
We were there in June, and the mornings and evenings were really cold. Everything possible was done to make that better, blankets in the game vehicles, hot water bottle on morning game drives, hot water bottles in our beds, hot chocolate at the end of the evening game drive.
The staff were wonderful, the ones I remember especially were Harry and Smiling the bartenders, Pretty a waitress and another guy whose name escapes me for the moment. Dolphin (Dolly) in the office, and of course Ryan the chef. Basically everyone on the staff was wonderful, helpful, friendly and willing to go way out of their way to help with anything.
We chose a South African camp to add to our Botswana ones partly because they were a little less expensive. We could not have had better value for money or a better experience at any price!. I highly recommend it, and would definitely go back next time I go to Africa."
