My Nov 2014 trip
Tanzania and 1 other country between 14 Nov 2014 and 25 Nov 2014
"Can't thanks Expert Africa enough for sorting out all our arrangements, especially at relatively short notice.
James D. was tremendously helpful. All the transfers worked like clockwork and we were met without hitch by the local agents. Particularly impressed with the one at Dar (Kearsley Travel) who were very professional (and, on our final departure from Dar when we were transferred to the main terminal by Coastal, we bumped into the driver we had had before who greeted us like old friends!). Slightly less impressed by the agent at Stonetown (Eco-tours), who was rather too keen to sell us the 'Stonetown tour'.. but otherwise transfers there were fine.
All in all it was tremendous service from Expert Africa, which I highly recommend and would use again. Thank you!"

"Where do I start? This place is wonderful, peaceful and we (mother & daughter for a change) loved it:
It is a special place in an (as yet) totally unspoilt location - azure blue seas, coral reefs, white sands and complete tranquility.
We tuned in to the daily rythmns of the tide and the quiet beach, watching the local fishermen taking their boats out and the women picking seaweed at low tide. Pre breakfast snorkeling was magic; lots of amazing marine life to be seen. Diving is a must if you like the water; we had good tuition at the PADI dive centre which is part of the resort (thank you Mike and Wilbert!).
There is the danger of being offered a drink at any time of day.. What a luxury to be just offered a drink and brought a cold beer on the beach; to have a predinner sundowner cocktail (or 2) on the terrace (watching the flying foxes come out) and of course, that is after the included massage or daily treatment of choice at the spa centre!
Food is good, if fresh fish orientated (surprise), and the service is excellent, with one's own 'fundi' for the duration.
This place is NOT for those who like night life and/or action! So keep away if you do - I'd hate it to be spoiled!
Can't wait to go back.."

"Lovely quirky place in the heart of Stowntown just round the corner from Emerson & Green Hotel.
Staff are super friendly and there is an excellent, relaxed coffee shop on the ground floor. Quite a haven.
Rooms are good with interesting decor; the place feels like a proper heritage Omani influenced house.
Best part is the rooftop terrace: you can have a sundowner beer (honesty fridge) looking out over the rooftops.
Breakfast is served there too - a perfect boiled egg and toasted muffin was just the job. Oh and a good coffee of course."

Very much the 'business' luxury hotel (as opposed to a boutique hotel), it has all the mod cons, high standards of service and ambiance expected of a hotel of this type. The service was friendly and there was an excellent breakfast area with a vast choice of foods & goodies to choose from.
There for 2 nights, we spent whole day chilling by the superb pool with views out to the blue Indian Ocean.
Ticked all the boxes for a short in transit stay."
