Botswana and 1 other country between 10 Oct 2014 and 20 Oct 2014
"A very well constructed trip, with great diversity of terrain and a very distinct feel to every camp.
The logistics worked very well as did the advice on what to expect. We would come back for advice on future African trips."

DumaTau Camp
"Grew to like it"

"The larger size and more commercial feel of Duma Tau contrasted with the more personal nature of the first camp.
We were assigned a guide who was initially pursuing the agenda of another guest. As we adjusted to the camp and our guide to us, we started to enjoy the facilities and the large amount of game that is attracted to the channel. Flame, our guide, really pulled the stops out for the last day and managed to find a leopard and wild dogs.
The food at Duma Tau is excellent and the tents comfortable and well furnished. We enjoyed our stay and the contrast with the Kalahari."

Chitabe Camp
"An absolute gem"

"A more relaxed, gentler feel. Very welcoming and a great layout with the best tents of the trip. it was the only pool I enjoyed using, and the library is a great place to crash in between drives.
Each drive produced a surprise, from our only cheetah to a leopard making a kill and feeding her cub. Bush buck and monkeys move between the tents and we were woken on our last morning by an elephant snoring behind us.
The only negative comment was that the food was good but not great. This is however a camp that I would very much enjoy going back to. Absolutely the right way to finish the safari."

"We loved the sense of history and the service was great.
Thank you for putting us in the stable wing, they treated us very well with complimentary massages and drinks. Seemed just the right way to finish the trip."

We were made to feel very welcome. Helped by a knowledgeable guide, Vasco, and the eyes of a very good tracker, Custom, we saw a surprisingly large quantity of game in just a couple of days, including 16 lions, a leopard and an elusive aardwolf. They respected the fact that we enjoy spotting birds as much as we do larger game.
The water hole in front of the lodge is a magnet for competing lions. We loved the scenery and quiet of the off-season Kalahari and the simplicity of the camp and could have stayed longer. A terrific start to the holiday."
