"Very nice to arrive after a long flight from London and the hassle of getting through Nairobi airport to have a plate of food (scots egg, meat pie and salad) waiting for me even though the bar was closed.

Comfortable for an overnight stay though the bathroom was a bit tired and very handy for the flight up to Nanyuki the next morning.

"I was the only guest in the camp which was both good and bad - I had the game drives all to myself with Driver Daniel and Spotter Little John. I had a wonderful time spending hours following the wild dogs, we saw so many rhinos and even spotted a Zorilla on an evening drive.

The visit to the endangered species boma was sad to see that there are so few northern white rhinos left. However, the manager seemed to think that I needed his company at every meal until I firmly advised him this was not required.

The location of the main tent overlooking the waterhole is lovely, you can sit and have a delicious meal whilst watching the animals go by. The tents are also very large and comfortable with hot water bottles provided to keep you warm on a chilly night. Safari style showers with water heated on demand but enough pressure to wash your hair."

"Again I was the only person in camp, until the late afternoon when a couple arrived but I had the game drives to myself again.

The location so close to the city is amazing with rhinos, lots of lions and plentiful hartebeest. The tents are comfortable however they are in a wooded area so there are no views.

The visit to the baby elephant orphanage and the giraffe centre when I was leaving were also good fun"
