"Expert Africa were amazing. They spend a lot of time with me shaping the trip and advising me of the accommodation options. I found their recommendations spot on and the accommodation they booked was superb with a very individual and varied feel. The majority of the accommodation had a very personalised feel.
Sabina is worthy of particular mention, as she really knew Namibia well and so was able to give accurate and re-assuring advice. She was always courteous and nothing was too much trouble. Expert Africa give superb attention to detail and provide lots of useful information before the trip, which ensures the trip goes smoothly. Any issues, which were limited during or after the trip were dealt with very quickly and efficiently.
I would recommend Expert Africa without reservation.
The website is also very helpful when researching your trip."

This was an amazing wildlife encounter. The seals were very friendly and if you sit in the water they will gradually come to you and get more and more curious.
One even tried to get in our kayak!

"The view from your balcony is worth the trip here alone. Amazing setting and a real community feel.
This lodge directly benefits the local communities and has a very friendly feel. Great excursions which are well worth doing with good guides.
Occasionally the service was little less slick than the european run lodges, but this was part of the charm."

"Go for the luxury water hole bungalows they are worth the extra money. We sat on our balcony watching rhino, elephants and assorted antelopes all through the evening - an amazing view and lovely spacious accommodation.
Locally run so reception sometimes lacked the high level of customer service of some european run lodges.
Reduction for vegetarians on the buffet, as they are not specially catered for."

"Lovely setting by the river. Food was nice and will cater for vegetarians if you ask.
Really more of a stopover location to break the journey from Etosha to the Caprivi Strip.

"Great location with hippos snorting in the river very close to your tents. Great location to explore the Mahango National Park, which is worth a half day. Close to Poppa Falls too.
Mealtimes were lovely and guests were sat together to share stories of their day, which worked well.

"Our guide Derek was very good and spotted lots of wildlife along the Zambezi. Owner was a little frosty on arrival. A more rustic experience camping on the roof of the boat and eating around a campfire at night.
It provided a couple of days at a slower pace, which was nice in an action packed holiday."

"This was the highlight of the trip. Although slightly more expensive than Nambian lodges this is a full board option with 2 game drives per day: either in the park on roads or on the boat. The food was amazing and visitors sat round a large family style table to share stories and advice on their travelling, this was helped by one of the staff always eating with the guests.
An incredibly friendly feel, where nothing was too much trouble. Afternoon tea and cake was a nice touch, as was the free washing/ironing service - very handy at the end of a long trip.
Not too large which gave it a family feel. Outstanding lodge and ethos."
