Our Namibia trip Jul 2014 was fantastic
Namibia and 1 other country between 10 Jul 2014 and 4 Aug 2014
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
We didn't have a price breakdown of each accommodation. I'm still undecided if this would have would have been helpful or not......it may have been interesting to compare places, and may have affected feedback, as value for money is another factor."

Elegant Guesthouse
"Good to unwind at Elegant"
Hoodia Desert Lodge
"Fantastic place and people."
The owner and staff are great, as was the food! Not to be missed!!"
Cornerstone Guesthouse
"Friendly and helpful Cornerstone guesthouse"
Really friendly people.
Whilst staying in Swakopmund these travellers also did the Pelican Point Kayaking about which they commented:
Excellent - Great fun kayaking
Lovely lady and everything provided for the water activity_ waterproof shoes and clothes. Also had photos and videos taken and sent to our emails. The kayaking itself was easy- I had been a bit concerned as we were on the sea, but no experience needed!"
Kayaking with seals
"Great fun kayaking"
16 Jul 2014 • Morning excursion
Ondudu Safari Lodge
"A beautiful place"
We all agreed that we would have enjoyed 2 nights......although no big animals it is the walks, and setting as well as fab food and quality of everything. The staff were all helpful and very friendly too."
Okaukuejo Camp
"Excellent waterhole viewing"
The minus points were; very big and the Okaukuejo waterhole viewing was with so many other people it felt very touristy but again that said, the amount of animals we saw was super. We booked an afternoon safari and had to wait over an hour and when we questioned if it was going to happen and if not, could we change to the following day as soon it would be dark (supposed to be 3 hours long and by now 3.30) the woman on reception who we had paid was very rude."
Mushara Bush Camp
"Mushara Bush Camp review"
Friendly service and nice touches such as homemade biscuits in tents as well as tea/coffee and hot water bottles. Very clean. A great stopover or base to enter Etosha from the east gate (although not in the park so wouldn't have the night waterhole experience).
Other than Okaukuejo, some of the best game we saw was at the east Etosha waterholes as we drove through."
Nhoma Camp
"Great experience at Nhoma"
It was a unique experience to visit the village and meet the lovely people. Although they didn't speak English this didn't matter, they were very friendly and the local man who took us from our camp to visit did so we could ask questions.
Arno also gave us the background to the Bushmen and how the relationship with tourists works for them. Worth the drive there!!"
Hakusembe River Lodge
"Great rooms and location"
We all thought it was a great stopover....a real chill out place."
Ndhovu Safari Lodge
"Great hippo experience at Ndovu"
(although I have put average, other family members would probably have put poor for the rooms and facilities!)"
Mazambala Island Lodge, Namibia (this camp has since closed)
"Great safari and boat trip at Mazambala"
The 2 things we enjoyed most were the boat trip and the safari trip. The safari guide was really good and we saw elephants very close up, as well as a very exciting ride back on the boat (hippo dodging!!) - felt safe as the guide seemed to be very experienced.
However, to have to pay for our meals in cash (I can understand having no facilities to pay by card, but surely we could prepay our meals when it was a fixed charge with no choice) meant we had to choose who did a safari as we needed so much cash we couldn't afford to eat and us all do both activities.
Also no tea/coffee facilities either in our rooms or in the bar area...a small point but the ONLY place not to offer it. Even at the end of our meal there was a half hour gap before tea/coffee was served and insufficient cups if everyone hadn't left by then. The speed at which our plates were taken seemed as though they couldn't wait for us to go- it was actually rude.
Although the staff were friendly the lack of care in the smaller things seemed it was very much a business."

Chobe Bush Lodge (Not currently featured by Expert Africa)
"Great safaris and boat trip at Chobe Safari L"
The safaris we did were great- the boat trip was definitely worth doing and on the land safaris we saw the illusive leopard very close, as well as lions and lots of elephants-we all loved it.
We were all glad we came here."

Ilala Lodge
"Ilala Lodge review"
We walked to see the Falls and we did the helicopter flight (the shorter one -12min-Flight of Angels) - it was expensive but felt worth it, just to see the Falls, so close from above-amazing. We booked it from the lodge which seemed competitively priced and felt safer in that we were staying there. Although there were other activities to choose from, we chickened out of the zip-wire rides, having watched them and the Devil's pool was not possible as the water was too high. We had done so much throughout the trip though,so it was great to chill in such a lovely lodge.
The breakfasts were great as was the outside bar to chill beside the well maintained pool. The evening menu was not that adolescent-friendly, so we only ate here once (but was delicious). We didn't find a restaurant in Victoria Falls for evening eating to recommend for families."
Very easy to find when driving from the airport."
