"Many many thanks to Expert Africa, particularly Lucy, for arranging such a fantastic trip for us. This was a 50th birthday special holiday and it was everything and more than we expected. Travelling was extremely painless considering we did 11 flights in 18 days! Everything on time and the quickest immigration and customs we've ever experienced. Camps fantastic, a really good combination of both wet and dry safari and our week in Quilalea was the icing on the cake.
We have recommended Expert Africa to everyone and will certainly get in touch again when we go back to Africa, which will be in the not so distant future. What an amazing country and people.
Please pass on our best wishes and thanks to all the places we visited and tell them we shall return some day.
Thanks again."

"What a great little camp. Even though they had the fire a few days before we arrived this did not affect our stay at all. If anything extra praise should be given to all the staff for all their hard work in making the camp as comfortable as possible for us. This was our first ever safari and we really had no idea what to expect.
The impromtu 'lunch in the bush' and our campfire supper with staff entertainment were particular highlights. Not forgetting the game drives with our great guide Phinley. Elephants, giraffes, fantastic birds, gnu, warthogs, kudu, tsesssebe to name but a few - and the icing on the cake were seeing the leopards, mother and son, how amazing!
Huge thanks to all the staff for making this such a memorable stay - especially Alice and Josephine and the lovely Grace who looked after us so well. We would certainly return."

"Fantastic camp. Staff great, rooms great, location great - what can more can we say. From the moment we stepped off the boat on arrival to the moment we left the airstrip we had a fantastic time. Lots of highlights on this part of our holiday - sitting by the campfire having pre-dinner drinks, really nice food, laid back and friendly staff who made you feel like 'part of the family'.
Our guide here was Kay (Madela Kay) who was just the best ever - the best barman in the bush, gin & tonics will never taste the same again!!! His knowledge was amazing and his personality made our drives great fun.
Leopards, elephants ( with babies - wow!), buffalo, wildebeest, verbet monkeys, baboons, red lechwe, giraffes, sable antelope, hippos and millions of macdonalds (impala) and pyjama horses (zebra) - Kay's descriptions not ours!! Fantastic birdlife as well - vulchers, fish eagles, lilac breasted rollers, pied kingfisher to name but a few. Truly excellent experience and one that we'd recommend to everyone!!"

"For the stopover before our next part of the journey this was good. Only one thing to mention - when we picked up our luggage the signposts were unclear as to where we found the transit bus to take us to the hotel, this we felt was due in some part to renovation work in the arrivals area.
We eventually found someone to show us but it has to be said we did feel a bit uncomfortable as he took us outside the terminal building to walk around the building site. That said the hotel was quite adequate for our needs, nice dinner and breakfast and comfortable rooms."

"Quilalea Island - Paradise found!"

"WOW - what can we say. Truly paradise. We were met at Pemba airport by Meila who looked after us very well. Helicopter trip was amazing - would recommend this mode of transfer - views over the coast and other islands fantastic. From the time we arrived we felt totally relaxed and the staff really did make you feel extremely special, nothing was too much trouble, it truly felt like your own little tropical island.
Fantastic rooms with your very own private beach view. Loved the shower with its doors opening to the outside. Opened window shutter every night and woke up with the sunrise every morning. Food was fantastic and plentiful, at times is was almost an effort to eat everything on offer!!
We went scuba diving, snorkelling - one of our party used to be a dive master in the Caribbean but reckons the marine life was better than anything she's ever seen! Sunset dhow trip was lovely, very relaxing and the kayaking in the mangroves was great fun. We also did the trip to Ibo island which was really good. What a fascinating place and history, it would be really interesting to return in a few years time and see how it has developed.
All praise to Nathan and his wonderful staff - one of our party was a novice scuba diver and Brendan really looked after him. Couldn't really single out anyone, they were all so friendly and attentive pandering to all our needs without being intrusive. On our last day and night we were the only guests which made it even more special. The staff even baked us a huge chocolate birthday cake and presented it to us after dinner along with a fantastic song and dance display - music provided by any kitchen instrument they could lay their hands on - great fun!!!
Really sad to leave but our return helicopter flight was even better with yet more stunning views and we were met once again by Meila who again looked after us extremely well.
Truly, truly memorable."

We had a fantastic dinner, food was glorious and the waiting staff could not be more attentive, such a shame we were the only party in the restaurant.
We all agreed that if ever we visit Jo'burg again we would definitely stay there."
