Offbeat to Tassia
Kenya between 11 Jun 2014 and 20 Jun 2014
Everything ran smoothly and I also have to mention my driver Edward who collected me from the airport and drove me around for eight hours on my last day in Nairobi. Charming fellow and I felt very safe with him. Offbeat was a perfect start to my safari and Tassia was the best place to truly unwind and feel on vacation.
Every animal I viewed and every personal experience I had with the two camps staff will remain in my memory forever. These people helped me fall in love with Kenya. I will return."

Offbeat Meru, Kenya (this camp has since closed)
"Offbeat Meru review"
Stanley, is an excellent guide and I spotted the Big Five and then some. You rarely see other vehicles so it feels very private and the game viewing is magical in Meru. It was my first visit to Kenya and Offbeat was my first stop. Needless to say I will definitely return. The tents are comfortable and the bucket showers are warm and convenient.
The staff is very knowledgeable and always had a smile for you. On several occasions we had elephant in the camp. Quite a treat to see. I also highly recommend this camp to solo travelers. You can choose to dine with other guests or have dinner brought to your tent. The pool is a nice touch on hot days."

Tassia Lodge
"Tassia Lodge review"
I arrived from Los Angeles and my first camp extremely tired and needing some TLC. The folks at Tassia seemed to read my mind and provided four days of much needed rest, massage, swimming, and informative walks. One does not feel pressured into anything and yet the staff is ever ready to make suggestions should you inquire about an activity.
Isiah and Michael are amazing guides and I learned so much from them. Martin Wheeler's bird rehab center is remarkable and a testament to how much he truly cares for these majestic creatures. Antonia Hall is also exceptional in the work she is doing with the local village ladies with her bead program.
The rooms are beyond comfortable and the views from each room beautiful. The food is delightful and dinners on the rooftop under the stars one of my favorite parts. Highly recommend!"
Clean and comfortable rooms and a fun bar to grab a drink in before bed. Perfectly safe for a solo traveler. Very much recommend especially if catching an early flight out of Wilson Airport to begin your fly in safari."
