Kwara Camp
"Kwara Camp review"

"Kwara camp has an excellent location and a great variety of game - in our 3 days we saw lion + cubs, male lion + kill, cheetah, giraffe, elephant, hippo, wildebeest, baboons, vervet monkeys, wart hog, various antelopes and some spectacular birds.
Activities included game drives, a walking safari and a great boat trip through the Okavango waterways. The rooms are very well-appointed and the facilities good. Our guide and tracker were both great.
The only thing that prevented this being a 5/5 rating was the attitude of a couple of the camp managers, one of whom was somewhat chippy towards western visitors (e.g. uncomfortable comments on colonialism, racism etc), the other showing a lack of real interest in, or enthusiasm for, her job. Otherwise outstanding."

The game sightings vastly exceeded our expectations - although supposedly a sub-optimal time of year (late April), in our 3 days we saw lion, leopard, elephant, hyena + pups, giraffe, hippo, zebra, monitor lizards, wart hog, several different species of antelope and many wonderful birds.
The only criticism (which only became apparent to us after visiting another camp) is that Khwai is a relatively small concession with several operators in the vicinity. Hence good sightings (e.g. hyena pups or a lion kill) rapidly attracted 5 or 6 vehicles. In addition, the area is not as visually attractive as that at, say, Kwara."
