Namibia is a vast beautiful country, visit it
Namibia between 29 Mar 2013 and 14 Apr 2013
The vast skies of day and night were breathtaking and we have returned with great memories and four personalised carved nut key rings.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
Some of the travelling times between rest camps were longer than we anticipated. We stumbled on a couple of good places to stop for lunch / breaks but if these had been pointed out beforehand it would have made the journey a little smoother."

Mushara Bush Camp
"Bush Camp was lovely and genuine"

Halali Camp
"Good rest camp inside Etosha"
The buffet food was good and the staff very attentive."

Dolomite Camp
"Dolomite felt like an upmarket private lodge"
The staff were really friendly and helpful but perhaps a little understaffed which meant service at meals was slow. Personally we did not think this was a problem, but some guests complained which we felt was unjust.
Perhaps because the whole camp is of such high quality some people expected private lodge standards but without paying for them. If we had to pick one favourite from all the camps we stayed at during our holiday this would be the one."

Etendeka Mountain Camp
"Etendeka Mountain Camp is awesome"
Dennis breathes Etendeka out of every pore and Ivan is a superb companion in interpreting the area - just don't believe all his tall tales."

Doro Nawas
"Elephant central"
We went on the afternoon game drive to find the elephants - we were the only two guests for the trip and had an amazing time, literally taking hundreds of photographs. It took an hour of tracking to find the herd and was well worth it, then we went off to find the lions. Unfortunately they were hiding but we were out for five hours in total and experienced some incredible scenery - none of which we would have thought to see from the location of the camp itself.
The staff singing after supper was lovely."

Ondudu Safari Lodge
"Good place to rest up"
Guided walk was well worth doing but a little scary if you aren't good with heights."

Rostock Ritz
"Good overnight stop"

Kulala Desert Lodge
"Great camp for visiting the dunes"
The only real downside is the cost of the trips - you have to do the morning drive to the dunes because that is why you go there but the afternoon drive to the Canyon is very poor value, particularly if you are self drive."

Wolwedans Desert Lodge
"Stunning location"
The only thing that let it down for us was the food, we were expecting something amazing but to be honest it was a little disappointing, our first lunch was superb but after that it did not seem to match the quality of the surroundings."

Elegant Guesthouse
"Great overnight stay in the capital"
This is not a comment about Elegant but not sure where else to put it. We had been emailed by Expert Africa that our flight on Air Namibia had been rescheduled and put back 2 hours, but the company doing the airport transfer insisted this was not the case and we had to leave two hours earlier i.e. 4.30am. The staff at the Guesthouse did try to sort this out but the transfer company would not budge. When we were collected the following morning we discovered another couple were being transferred to the airport with us but they were travelling on a different flight 3 hours before ours. We can only assume that the transfer company just didn't want to do two journeys so made us leave really early....at least we were the first ones booked on!"
This is an ideal place to stay just outside Etosha."
