"For an airport hotel it was quite adequate with easy access from airport. However the lunch menu was certainly not the best and dinner menu was exactly the same"

"excellent service. We had half board for first day and when we pointed this out to the management that we owed them for game drives etc. he replied that we owed them nothing!!

The road to Katimo Malila was extremely poor but after the border crossing into Namibia much improved. Were were disappointed not to go on the ferry at Kazangula but were told that there were problems with time if the ferry was busy at it closed at 6pm. The drives were very good.

There were problems with diet, my daughter and wife not eating meat but eating fish. We consequentially had fish for every meal!!!"

We had steps to go to our room but no banister was provided which made it a little difficult."

"Charlie and Jo were excellent hosts spending so much time with us treating us almost as one of the family. Jo knew of our interest in the history of Shiwa and gave us a lot of her time telling us about it.

"This was the highlight of our holiday and and undoubtedly the best stay we have had in safari lodges in Africa. The position by the Zambezi was superb and the profusion and variety of animals both in the bush and inside the camp was very exciting.

Stewart and Maddie, the managers, went out of their way to please and help us. The guides and spotters and all the staff were attentive to our needs, and we were very impressed by the relationship that Stewart and Maddie had with them and they with us."
