Outstanding!
Zambia between 8 Jul 2013 and 20 Jul 2013
"A holiday of a lifetime! Could not have been better! We wouldn't change a thing, except to stay longer in each place. We will return to Zambia!

Chiawa Camp
"Beautiful Chiawa!"
2 nights
Arrived
11 Jul 2013
"We didn't even need to leave our spacious, beautifully appointed luxury tent to see game at Chiawa, as they were right outside our door! But the excellent guides showed us even more on game drives, like an unforgettable Honey Badger-Lion encounter (the Honey Badgers got away!), and lots of leopards.
Stewart was helpful when I discovered a mistake with my Zambian visa (later corrected), and the rest of the staff were delightful. The surprise dinner at Bedrock was a real treat. I can't say enough about this piece of paradise!"

Old Mondoro Bushcamp
"Luxury in the Bush"
3 nights
Arrived

"Our game sightings got even better with our fantastic, top-notch guide, Sebastian. We lost count of the leopards we saw (which I will never tire of seeing!), but the real icing on the cake was seeing the elusive Pangolin. It came right up next to our jeep, giving us a good view. Amazing! And the boat safaris and sundowners were so peaceful and tranquil. I will miss the Cape Turtle Dove's repetitive call to "drink laaa-ger, drink laaa-ger, drink laaa-ger", and the hippos' hilarious laughing sound!
Again, we had a surprise lunch in the bush, with gorgeous food.(How do they do it?) Staff, accommodation, atmosphere-----top marks!"

Royal Livingstone Hotel
"Royal Livingstone Hotel"
3 nights
Arrived
16 Jul 2013
"The Royal Livingstone Hotel was a perfect bit of luxury after our safari. Although we'd read beforehand about the local residents, it was still a shocker to see a giraffe outside our door first thing in the morning!
The hotel was heavenly, from the hand massages offered to us at check-in, to the comfy beds and generous breakfasts. The Falls are practically on your doorstep, and the view from the hotel's deck is magical! But watch out for the monkeys which appear out of nowhere when nibbles are served with your drinks! Hilarious!"

Eight Reedbuck Hotel, Zambia (this camp has since closed)
"Eight Reedbuck hotel"
1 night
Arrived
19 Jul 2013
"We only had a few hours overnight here, as our plane from Livingstone was late, and we had an early departure in the morning, so we only saw Eight Reedbuck in the dark, but it was pleasant enough.
We were able to order a late dinner, seemingly after the kitchen was closed. And breakfast trays were brought to our rooms the night before. However, the bathroom needed some work, like a showerhead and better lighting, and the bedroom carpet needed replacing. But the room was spacious and quiet."

The microlight flight at sunrise, the staff, the setting on the riverbank, the gorgeous chalets, the beautiful food, the game drives, the walking safari with Bryan......just could not have been better! The visit to the local school was a very emotional event for us. And we even had one of the camp's cats share our bed, which we loved!
We only wish we could've stayed longer."
