My Sep 2019 trip
Tanzania between 24 Sep 2019 and 4 Oct 2019
"We wanted a fly-in safari trip to Selous and Ruaha with an emphasis on wildlife viewing. This trip delivered on all counts. The camps both exceeded expectations."

Jongomero Camp

"The camp is situated next to a partly dried up river in a very remote part of Ruaha. The visitor is always aware of the wildlife that visits throughout the day and night. The night skies are also amazing.
The service level was even better than Siwandu and the food was exceptional.
Our guide throughout was Apollo, who was knowledgeable and experienced. Again, we were fortunate to have Apollo for the entire stay. He was patient, and paced each safari trip. There was no feeling of being rushed or chasing after wildlife.
In addition to the survey we saw a family of Jackals and many Kudu.
The staff at the camp helped in the celebration of a special birthday making it memorable."

Every member of staff contributed to the excellent service. It seems there was nothing that was too much trouble. The food was creative and good quality.
Our guide during the four days of our trip was Christopher. He was knowledgeable and took the time to give context and background information about habitat etc. We were fortunate to have Christopher as our guide throughout our stay.
A unique experience for us was discovering many species of birds at a feeding frenzy of catfish after rainfall.
Siwandu is a bird spotters paradise."
