An exciting and varied experience
Botswana between 5 May 2012 and 19 Jun 2012
We were very impressed by the high level of organisation of all the trips we went on and in particular how the 2 companies we were travelling with contacted each other so that we went seamlessly from one part of the country to the other. Flights between locations in Botswana were impressively efficient and on time.
The whole trip went extremely well and met our expectations. i think it might be worth pointing out to travellers who come direct from Botswana to the Uk that they will be travelling for over 24 hours (in our case Kwai- Maun- Johannesburg- London) and to suggest the option of an overnight stay in Jhb."

Moremi Wildlife Safari (Not currently featured by Expert Africa)
"An outstanding experience"
The vehicle broke down at dusk in Moremi game reserve and we had to be towed back to our campsite by the service lorry. Pat contacted his head office in Maun which was 150k away over dirt roads and next morning a relief vehicle arrived with a mechanic and spare starter motor. Our morning safari drive was scarcely delayed at all. By the time we returned for luinch our verhicle had been repaired.
We also had a most memorable evening looking at a starlit sky while Pat pointed out the constellations of the southern hemisphere with a laser torch.
The food was excellent and the bread and cake! baked freshly in a metal oven over coals every day was a real treat. The rest of the staff were at all times helpful and thoughtful. Everyone wanted us to have a special time and we did.
We thought the equipment was rather worn and shabby. Chairs were scuffed and stained. Tent zips stiff, a shower head fell on us as it was used as it was so battered., groundsheets were worn and in places had holes. The toilet which was adjacent to the tent did not have a cover on the seat. There was only just enough bedding (I used my coat as a cover as well and no additional pillows were available). Temperatures went down to 5 centigrade at night which was quite cold. Travelllers should be alert to the big difference in temps between day and night. 5 degrees at 5.30am became 28 at 9am."
