My Jun 2012 trip
Namibia between 3 Jun 2012 and 17 Jun 2012
Our only regret is that we didn't have more time - next time, we'll have to head south as well.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
None - Gwynneth was extremely helpful and really knowledgeable, making sensible suggestions about proposed changes to our itinerary and speaking from personal experience."

Haus Sonneneck
"Pleasant and peaceful stay"

Desert Homestead
"Desert Homestead review"
We really enjoyed the sundowner horse ride - Abel was a great guide and the horses suitable to our (in)experience."

Central Guest House, Namibia (this camp has since closed)
"Helpful and welcoming"
Ellen was extremely helpful in assisting with reservations for dinner and confirming our Sandwich Harbour trip - very much appreciated.
We arranged a 'Full Day Sandwich Harbour' trip for these travellers. They commented:
Our trip to Sandwich Harbour with Turnstone Tours was a definite highlight of the trip.
Ernest was engaging, informative and entertaining and tried hard to make sure all particular interests in our group were covered. Highly recommended."

Mowani Mountain Camp
"Mowani Mountain Camp review"
We went on the morning nature/game drive which was really enjoyable - we saw plenty of game and birds of prey as well as the desert elephants. We also took the guided trip to Twyfelfontein - good value and we got more out of this than if we had done this ourselves.
We had the same waiter throughout our stay which is a nice touch and all the staff were friendly and helfpul, although the service was definitely more formal here than at our other lodges. We particularly appreciated Stewart's daily sport results updates!"

Okaukuejo Camp
"Okaukuejo Camp review"
The accommodation is fine - clean, spacious and serviced daily. The braai facility at our bush chalet is a little wasted when no crockery/cutlery/implements are provided. We ate at the camp restaurant - the buffet style food was plentiful and meat cooked to order although the quality of the food was average. Service was better than we had expected, except at reception where the staff were unhelpful.
It does feel a bit like a 1970s holiday camp so don't expect the service you will receive elsewhere in Namibia but it's definitely worth staying here for the waterhole alone."

Ondudu Safari Lodge
"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"
The managers (who were the relief managers) were enthusiastic, taking the time to speak to everyone over dinner, sharing their knowledge of the area and even giving us an ad hoc stargazing lesson.
Gelassius (sp?) took us on our sunrise and sunset guided walks and was a wonderful guide - we really appreciated his knowledge and humour. We also did one of the self guided walks at sunrise - well marked and with beautiful views.
Erongo served the best food we had in Namibia - fresh, plentiful and delicious."
Good place to recover from the flight into Windhoek."
