Our trip was everything we wanted and more!
Tanzania and 1 other country between 17 Jul 2012 and 29 Jul 2012
I think we both came away feeling we wouldn't have wanted anything else in our honeymoon and wouldn't have changed a thing."

Jongomero Camp
"Great place for safari away from crowds"
The camp was really nice especially the decor of the main lodge and the staff were great in terms of service, but also very interesting and fun people who made the experience all the more enjoyable. There was a lovely feel to the place.
The nights were quite cold, but the extra touch of hot water bottles in the beds meant it was fine to get a good nights sleep."

Siwandu
"Lovely safari camp, right by a beautiful lake"
We enjoyed being somewhere where a boat safari was available and the sunsets you got on the lake were exceptional and made for some amazing photos. Being by the lake also meant the bird life was almost as interesting as the other wildlife. The walking safari was well worth doing here and felt very safe.
The main lodge was excellent and had a great pool for cooling off after a hot morning's safari. The food served here was also excellent and Emile who managed the camp was always on hand to help or just for a nice chat."

Kilindi
"Incredible luxury and impeccable service"
The main pool is well worth going to as it is normally very quiet and you often get it all to yourself. It's also next too a very well stocked bar with a variety of excellent cocktails available.
You can eat whatever you like, whenever you want, wherever you want, which makes you feel a bit like royalty! The beach gets some criticism on some of the online forums but we really liked it and couldn't see any issues.
Our only criticism would be the snorkelling trip which was organised which was done through a neighbouring resort and could have been better (not proper checks that masks fitted properly and no spare equip on the boat) and no warning that the reef we were going to was actually quite cold at the time of year we were there."

Zanzibar Palace Hotel
"Nice friendly hotel, bit old fashioned for us"
Having said that the main thing we wanted from Stone Town was a good tour and the tour guide we had was excellent.
There were good bits of the hotel - a nice freestanding bath in the suite we were in, nice beds and good roof top views, but we did see some more modern hotels in Stone Town - Mashariki Palace I think was one - which seemed a bit more special."
Not the best place we went for snorkelling as when we were there (July) the sea was quite rough and made visibility poor, however the body boarding was great and the sun beds were very comfortable. Beach was also very quiet and there was no hassle from local traders which made it really peaceful.
It only took 2 nights there for us to feel properly away from everything and very relaxed."
