"It was like having our own concierge - the staff were really great at helping us plan our time in Capetown, book restaurants for us, ring the hire car company when we had a problem etc.

The only downside was that it was a little way to the nearest restaurants - so while we could walk there, we had to take a taxi back when it was dark. Lovely area though.

Room was lovely although no air con and was the room got pretty hot when the weather was nice."

"The complimentary cellar tour was the best cellar tour we've ever done - really interesting and personal.
The lunch was delicious.

We were really glad we splashed out on our deluxe suite. The private patio with plungepool and beautiful views was amazing.

I was a bit nervous about trip advisor reviews suggesting that the rooms were abit run-down. But while you could tell it was a little past its best, we weren't disappointed at all."

"Treehouse suites were amazing. Lovely views, pool, bar.

The dinner in the evening was a little OTT - nice to have once or twice. Staying there for longer, it might have been a bit annoying either to have to eat the 6 course dinner every night or have to drive to Knysna to eat (given you have to get the staff to give you a lift down to your car).

There were some great walks in the forest. Would be helpful for reception to have a map of the trails in the area (they didn't when we were there). I think they assume that most people just do the standard 45min walk which is quite easy to follow. We went off onto some other trails for a longer walk, but were quite lucky in coming across a map on the trail to get us home again!"

"As we expected, the cabin was quite basic, but absolutely fine. And definitely worth it in order to stay in that location.

Were surprised by how good the restaurant in the camp was. And the pool was really good (and unexpected) too."
