My Sep 2011 trip
Namibia and 2 other countries between 12 Sep 2011 and 6 Oct 2011
I learnt a lot about the countries I visited, had some great experiences, saw some superb sights including brilliant views of birds, mammals and reptiles and had some insight into different cultures. I was looked after well and had the freedom to explore as I wanted. It was very well organised and ran smoothly.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
It is worth bearing in mind the difference in the cultures of the countries to be visited and the UK. Some people may be unprepared for what they may experience when compared to the UK and Europe."

Cornerstone Guesthouse
"Cornerstone Guesthouse review"
The staff were very helpful in advising and taking post while dealing with a problem with Budget, the car hire company. We had an excellent trip in Walvis Bay and the sand dunes while here. The restaurants in the town were also very good with a wide range of choice."

Damaraland Camp
"Damaraland Camp review"
They could be a little clearer on what various activities cost, (it could be that I missed some pertinent information). We were made very welcome and was probably the best location of the holiday."

Okaukuejo Camp
"Okaukuejo Camp review"
The location was superb and we were able to see a superb range of wildlife at the local water hole by day and night, it was also a superb location for seeing many other water holes in western Etosha, when travelling independently it is difficult to see how this location could be bettered."

Mushara Bush Camp
"Mushara Bush Camp review"
There was quite a lot of wildlife close to the tents, hearing a pack of hyenas howling in the middle of the night and very close to the tent is one of the best memories of the holiday, even if it almost frightened me to death!"

"Rundu"
This was also not the first choice location. The accomodation was rather "worn" and the service given by most of the staff fell short of that of all the other locations. The quality of the food was also lacking, greasy with wilted salad."

Nxamaseri Lodge
"Nxamaseri Lodge review"
That said, everything else about this site and the associated activities were excellent. We enjoyed superb wildlife sightings and thoroughly enjoyed fishing for Tiger Fish with our guide Adam who was superb at his job and very knowledgable about the fauna."

Ndhovu Safari Lodge
"Ndhovu Safari Lodge review"
They were knowledgable about the wild life of the area but also the culture of the area and some insight of the social and political issues of the country. They seemed to make an extra effort to encourage conversation during the dinner each evening.
The proximity of hippos may be un-nerving to some people."

Muchenje Safari Lodge
"Muchenje Safari Lodge review"
The boat trip was particularly good and it was nice to have the option of a night safari. (I imagine that this coulld have been a superb option in Etosha) Our guide was not as good as others, some of the trips were a bit rough due to rough tracks and the way they were driven. On occasions the guide was too quick to move on and often drove off without checking that everyone had finished photographing etc."

Ilala Lodge
"Ilala Lodge review"
Our experience of the boarder crossing into Zimbabwe was not good, about 2 / 2.5 hours, two long queues and in high temperatures, at one point queuing in the full sun. In reality there is nothing that can be done about this and it is a reality that "needs to be experienced" as part of visiting Zimbabwe. It may therefore be worth giving a bit more information to prepare people for what may happen."

Victoria Falls Hotel
"Victoria Falls Hotel review"
It was a different and good experience in a hotel that is a slice of history and the Hotel has a distinct character and style of service."
This was very useful while we were still getting the "feel of the place""
