An exciting return to nature

"A an exceptional wild animal experience, but the accommodation was very basic.
Our luggage guardian at Johannesburg was helpful and efficient and prompt.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
We regret not having considered including the Victoria Falls in our itinerary and it was not logistically possible to amend that once in Botswana. However we would have responded to prompting from Expert Africa for this additional option."

"A well managed camp with expansive views. We had an excellent guide and tracker and saw most of the animals available in that area. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The basic amenities and sparsity of this and open style desert camp, and the exposure to all animals around the huts, took some time to acclimatise to.
Personally I was nervous in these surroundings when walking to and from our hut to the main building, others may find it exciting. Future guests might like to know that animals are able to roam throughout the camp, unlike other safari lodges I have visited that are fenced."

"Excellent viewing of numerous animals, aided by a very, well qualified, knowledgeable and good humoured guide whose driving skills were superb. Very good food and a congenial atmosphere.
The tented camp is on an island and overlooks a Delta lagoon and is shaded by trees. The tents are spacious, but quite basic with minimal lighting and rusty coloured shower water which over time stained fingernails, hair and any laundry. I eventually acclimatised to the open access in the camp for wild animals from hippos, elephants, lions and baboons who were often heard and sometimes seen around the tents.
The baboons were quite a pest as they were so naughty, stealing anything left out and challenging women in particular. I believe the camp will soon be removing some of the offending baboons. It was difficult to take much exercise as there was only a plunge pool and it was not possible to walk far without a guide, as in most safari camps.
It was uncomfortable and time consuming to make the twice daily jeep drive to get off the island and the access track would benefit from improvement, although it does flood annually so this might be impossible.
The quality of the guiding and variety of animals we encountered in many exciting scenarios, more than compensated for the basic accommodation and my anxiety of predators so close to the tents."
