We had one blip - the taxi at Dar to take us to the hotel did not turn up. A local tourist information official rang Eco Tours but they said there was a mechanical issue with the taxi and nobody would be coming! We negotiated with a local taxi driver to take us to the hotel for $50 and were told that they hotel would pay the bill. The driver had no idea where the hotel was and the hotel did NOT pay the bill but fortunately we had the cash to do so. Eco Tours did ring to apologise and the fare was re-imbursed when we left.
But overall excellent!
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
I found the information you sent us in advance of the trip to be very useful, especially as this was the first time we had been on a safari. However, I think it would have been good to have added just a short paragraph specifically on the places where we were actually staying, for example at Sand Rivers they provided for everything - sun cream, mosquito repellant, full set of toiletries, rain jackets. Had we known, we would have limited the amount of toiletries we took with us and fleeces which were just not required at this time of year. For Matemwe, it would have been good to have read about their work with the local community with a list of anything specific required. I also found parts of the Brandt guidebook to be out of date, referencing things that might open in 2009 and certainly a few more hotels in Matemwe (but I guess it's difficult to keep up with the pace!)." Before arriving I particularly hoped to see wild dogs and leopard I saw these and, in addition, a large variety of other creatures including bat eared foxes, bush pigs, hyenas, jackals, various mongeese etc. plus a large variety of birds, I can't think that of anything significant that was missed and this was due to the abilities of the guides and drivers.
One of the most enjoyable holidays that I have had. I did not find a single member of camp staff who was not both knowledgeable and helpful (sometimes limited a little by a slight language barrier).

I have no particular comment to make regarding improvements to the the trip or service but see my comments with regard to the fly-camp.
Having only decided to make the trip at very late notice I was very impressed by the the holiday produced by Liz in the limited time available.
I would recommend the Expert Africa to others.

I dont really feel able to express the extent of the gratitude I feel for all that we encountered at every stage and for the individuals involved.
Talking of the people, theres not yet been the space to specifially mention Kassim of Eco + Culture with whom we spent 3 days on various outings, something so memorable, both as the experience of getting to know such a fine person and for the conversations we had and the time together.
Amongst other things, this helped me digest experiencing a visit to E. Africa 50 years after the childhood Id had there.
And it was simply yet another thing that made the fine time wed already been having even more so.

The only way I can imagine your improving things would be through being able to satisfy others as much as you have me.
