"It had taken us a very long time to go on Safari, but this holiday was a true life experience. We hoped we would enjoy the holiday but it significantly exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was excellent, the Safari drives were superb, you do have to have a little luck with what you see, but our Guides were so knowledgeable and the fact that we went to smaller camps meant the area was less crowded and only rarely did we see any other cars. The food well exceeded expectations.
Having no idea what the practicalities would be, we asked Jessica loads of questions and she was very patient and helpful.

"Jessica was extremely efficient and helpful right from when we started planning our trip and we would have no hesitation in recommending her and Expert Africa to friends and family.

The website is helpful and informative and contact via phone and email rapid and easy.

There were two glitches in our travel plans, neither of which were EA's fault (Coastal cancelled some of the flights booked with them and our first camp was evacuated due to unseasonably heavy rain); Jessica dealt with both of these rapidly and efficiently so that our trip was only minimally affected - exactly what we would want and expect from a high quality travel company.

The only reason for rating the overall trip "fairly satisfactory" was the unseasonably heavy rain which impacted our experience in Ruaha and Nyerere to some extent. Obviously the weather isn't in EA's control but, if we return to Tanzania, given the high overall cost of such trips and because climate change appears to be making things increasingly unpredictable we would think twice about going in Jan/Feb and camps like Kigelia clearly become less attractive/available in these circumstances." All the places we stayed were excellent, the service was superb and the food was delicious! Being up so close to the animals was an unexpected thrill.

"Our overall experience of Expert Africa was excellent.

They listened very carefully to what we wanted to achieve and created a really good programme for us in terms of locations, drive times, variety of landscapes and things to do and see. This absolutely ticked the boxes in terms of history and culture which particularly interested us, while enabling us to enjoy the classic Cape food, wine and landscape experience.

"We had a lovely holiday and, as has happened twice before, we’ve come back wanting to go again!!!

Everybody we met in Africa was welcoming and helpful and all the camps we stayed in were delightful. Our tents were luxurious and the grounds well-maintained and pretty.

We had excellent wildlife sightings overall, even if those in the Mara National Park were a little disappointing, and we eventually had our fill of big cats!

Our visits to the Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre were a pleasant way of beginning and ending our holiday.
