"We were very impressed with the Local Agents everywhere#

We had 11 flights. We travelled to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique. We travelled into and out of Jo'Burg in South Africa 3 x times

We had countless Border crossings and 5 pages were completely used up in on new (thankfully) passports----more than 5 pages would have been used up, had the Immigration Staff everywhere, been less considerate and using up pages, rather than constantly stamping new pages!

Every Local Agent arrived early to meet us and took all the hassle out of all the numerous border crossings, particularly on the Chobe River on the boat, where you have to pass through Nambia and Botswana on entering and leaving!

In the end the trip is as good as the Local Agents, and the Local Agents that Expert Africa used were suberb, efficient and charming

"This was our first safari. Everything about it matched our expectations.

Highlights were seeing a black rhino, lion cubs and cheetahs on a kill. Another highlight was visiting the Masai which was a very moving experience.

Bush breakfast in Amboseli under an acacia tree was fun too!

Tongabezi as a base to see the Victoria Falls was great and a perfect way to end our holiday.

"Ever since our first trip in 2015 I have said "This is the best trip ever." I say it every year and 2019 did not disappoint.

It was very interesting going at a different time of year. We loved seeing the trees in flower and were surprised by how green the park was in late September. The wildlife was much more concentrated around the river compared to May/June. We had never seen so many lions before nor so many carcasses. Birding was good but many of the birds were much higher up in the trees than on previous visits - presumably because there were fewer seeds on the ground. Tree frogs and insect life were less evident on this visit. The exception being the tsetse flies. However they were not a problem on most of the game drives. They just a issue in certain areas of the park.

Special thanks should go to the chefs and kitchen staff at all three Robin Pope camps. There were plenty of options for breakfast including porridge (proper cut oats none of your rolled oats or instant stuff). Amazing lunches with such a refreshing array of salads. And delicious evening meals. Not forgetting the afternoon homemade cakes and biscuits (forget the Great British Bake Off - we have the winners in South Luangwa!). A wonderful variety of nibbles that were provided at sundowner time plus more surprises on the bar when we returned from our evening drives. We also need to mention the huge variety of home made bread and rolls that were served!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Once again Tour Africa staff were there at Lusaka Airport to welcome us and assist with transfers. They also helped with our departure flights.

Freddie Sutton was responded to our initial enquiry and Claire Scott was responsible for completing all the final details. Both of them were great to deal with and responded promptly and efficiently.

We are already planning next year's trip. Thanks Robin Pope Safaris. Thanks Expert Africa.

"Everything worked out well. We started with the simplest accommodation and worked our way up as far as comfort and luxury of the camps were concerned.

Only Imvelo camps don't yet use refillable water bottles which you can either take home or return at the end of your stay.

Malcolm Lodge in Harare is also a lovely place to stay and very up to date - they knew about a flight problem we had before we did.

The transfer from Hwange Main Camp to Vic Falls arrived 30 minutes late - he was 'delayed' but we suspect the delay was visiting his home village on the way to collect us, which meant that the 2 guides who had brought us there from Somalisa had and extra wait." "Our trip exceeded our high expectations for bucket list safari experience. Tracy, our coordinator at Expert Africa was easy to work with and tailored the trip to meet our needs. We appreciated that she had first hand knowledge of the camps that added weight to her recommendations.

In retrospect we should have added a couple extra days with no activities planned so that we could recharge our batteries. Ideally this would have been done in Namibia due to the stratospheric high cost of the lodges in Botswana.

Our Day trip to Sandwich Harbour was fantastic, and if we had to choose we would have ranked it higher than a scenic flight over the dunes.
