My Sep 2024 trip
Namibia between 22 Sep 2024 and 9 Oct 2024
"We had a fabulous trip to Namibia.
Tracy did a first class job with the accommodation she recommended and was extremely helpful with the fuel situation in Etosha.
I would certainly use Expert Africa again and would not hesitate to recommend them.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
Nothing to improve"

"Oh wow, what can I say about this place except I wish there were more than five stars to award. Just wonderful in every way.
The lodge and accommodation exceeded all expectations with large, airy rooms.
The main reception and restaurant overlooks the waterhole so at night you eat your delicious dinners while watching wildlife (we saw lions and rhinos most nights).
The hide again is just spectacular and gives a whole new perspective on watching the animals. I just loved this lodge and cannot speak too highly about it.
We only did game drives in the reserve as we were travelling to Etosha independently.
Anyone who stays here is in for a real treat.
Ongava Reserve Guided game drives
Game drives were run professionally and we saw lions, elephants, rhinos and plains game on most of our drives.
We were asked if we wanted to have a drive into Etosha but as we were travelling there independently we decided to stay on the Ongava reserve and we were very happy with our decision.
What I loved so much about Ongava is the game viewing doesn’t stop when you’re back at camp due to the fabulous waterhole where we had wonderful sightings (mainly lions and rhinos).
The second afternoon was the best game drive of the stay with just superb viewings of elephants and rhinos (both black and white)"

"Room was very basic but clean. We had a waterfront chalet which was about 10 seconds walk to the waterhole which I just cannot praise enough. We saw so much here and on one occasion there must have been around 50 elephants at the waterhole - just mesmerising.
The food at the camp is ok but if you want decent service then book an earlier meal time - after 7pm the restaurant becomes very busy and service not so good (we were kept waiting for over an hour on one evening before anyone saw to us as tour groups (even those who booked tables later than us) were prioritised.
The game around this area was good. We saw lions, elephants and lots of plains game"

"I really liked this camp - certainly an improvement from Okaukeujo.
The chalets were clean, spacious and comfortable. The game viewing was better in this area, too. Service and food were also an improvement.
One point is that for four nights there was no diesel at any of the camps - no delivery at all and no fuel to be had.
This could certainly prove difficult for people staying (perhaps advise having a “Jerry” can in vehicles for spare fuel?)"

"Loved this place - staff just wonderful, can’t praise them enough.
Food is superb. Rooms are fabulous with every amenity you could want.
The small waterhole was quiet but we did see eland here.
Absolutely fantastic place and I cannot recommend it too highly."

"A wonderful place.
The rooms are fantastic and the reception area overlooks a large water area so plenty of game to watch. Service is impeccable and the food plentiful and delicious.
One note is that the leopards here are collared (once they reach a certain age) which not all visitors might like. Having said that, we had superb sightings and our guide, Peter, went out of his way to ensure we had a good time.
He was also very knowledgeable about placing the vehicle for the best photo opportunities.
Can thoroughly recommend this place and huge thanks to them for upgrading our first night from Plains Camp to Bush Camp."

"Great lodge. The rooms were large and clean.
The steps leading up to the rooms could prove a problem for anyone with mobility problems but there are ground floor rooms.
The staff here are just lovely and very helpful. The meal was probably one of the best we had during the entire holiday - just superb.
I would definitely recommend this place."
